We can now confirm the nine venues that will be a part of Harwich Ale Trail 2022. Ale Trail runs 28 April to 2 May, over the early May Bank Holiday weekend.
Our stalwarts are Alma (KIngs Head Street), Globe (KIngs Quay Street), Hanover (Church Street), New Bell (Outpart Eastward) & Stingray (Church Street). Each of these five ale houses has taken part in every previous Ale Trail (as well as being Shanty Festival venues!)
For our remaining four venues we can work our way from Ha’Penny Pier: the first venue is the Cafe On The Pier. The Cafe has changed hands since the last Ale Trail.
Finishing the usual collection of venues is Shakers Bar (B1352 West Street), very handy for Pieseas and Harwich Town railway station of course!
Appearing as a venue for the first time, and a little out of our usual territory, we have the United Services Club off B1352 Main Road. For those getting off (or catching their train) at Dovercourt, this venue is on the way into/from Historic Harwich and is normally a private members club. It is to be found nestled to the rear of the Park Pavillion beside Cliff Park.
All information was believed correct at the time of publication but may be subject to change – however unlikely that may be.
