30th April to 4th May

(over the early May Bank Holiday Weekend)

Harwich Ale Trail returns for 2026. The festival runs from Thursday 30th April to Monday 4th May in 5 pubs – the Alma, Globe, Stingray, Crown Post and New Bell.

The confirmed beer list is below and most pubs will have additional ales, and ciders, in addition to the listed ales.

The venues all open by midday

Please use public transport where possible if you are travelling from outside Harwich & Dovercourt. The railways (ie Greater Anglia) are promising to run normally* the whole weekend so travelling from Chelmsford, Colchester, Ipswich or Norwich should be relatively pain free!

Buses will be operating a normal weekend/bank holiday timetable, please check with the appropriate bus operator(s).

* Caveats apply here! There are no published railway engineering works in Essex that weekend and the mainline Stratford to Norwich looks clear. Delays can happen, however, for non-published reasons.
